Glow behinds render as if they are mapped to a plane that is always
facing the camera. This "plane" can cut thru objects when close to them
(depending on the size of the flare). For this reason, LW reminds you
that Glow Behinds should only be used in the distance - behind all objects.
You can also run into the problems of the G.B flare causing transparent
polys to render solid when placed behind them. THis only happens if the
flare is located in front of an opaque object, but behind a transparent
one... Another good reason why they should be used behind all objects.
You can always fake a glow behind by mapping a flare image onto a plane...
